Our story

A 1950s summer camp cabin, rebuilt.

The Cub House began as a 1950s summer camp cabin. It was rebuilt for modern comfort without losing the Northwoods character that made it worth keeping. The history stayed. The compromises didn’t.

Character, carried forward

A cabin that still feels like one.

The rebuild kept the Northwoods character at the center of the experience. Warm wood, a generous great room, and a fireplace give the cabin its sense of place without asking guests to trade away comfort.

Made for modern stays

The details do the work.

A 12-foot chef’s island anchors the kitchen. A soaking tub and walk-in shower make the bathrooms feel considered. Wi-Fi, a washer and dryer, and a gas fireplace make longer stays easier.

Open to the setting

Inside is only half the story.

Three covered porches create 900 square feet of space for dining, lounging, and watching the weather move through the woods. Beyond them, approximately 125 feet of waterfront and a private dock connect the cabin directly to the Chain of 28 Lakes.

“The home is even more beautiful in person than the photos portray.”
